Kids Voting. 2020

Today we were learning about how to create a graph and interpret the information.   

The graph shows me that red bar is the most  popular and has the most votes. I can see 4 party's that shared the same number of votes. As you can see there is a bar that everybody wanted to use, it was the red. There are 10 more likes for the red bar then the other colored bars. The purple and the grey are boring that's why people didn't like it and didn't use it as much.

 

The grey stands for informal that means that it doesn't count because the people who voted did it wrong

Are you going to vote this coming election. 

What is MMP?

Today we are learning about MMP witch is the New Zealand's voting system.

Mixed Member  of Proportional (MMP) is the system used in New Zealand to vote our members of Parliament (MP). MMP will be used in the upcoming election for 2020.
MP is made up of 72 electorate seats, inducing 7 Maori electorate. usually 120 MP'S who will represent each voter of New Zealand. 

You need to be enrolled to vote in the election and referendums. voting will open two days earlier than usual, and there will be more voting places to. into force, giving people with a terminal illness the option of requesting assisted dying.

if you are 18 years or older you will be able to vote. when you vote you will get 1 paper but it will have to sides on it witch is the party who your going to vote for and the person. 

New Zealand is divided into 71 geographical areas called. electorates or seats.

DIY Fried Rice

 Today we made Fried Rice in garden to table. We went to the garden to get vegetables.The vegetables were chives,kale,silver beet and carrots. Next we went to the kitchen and cooked the fried rice with chopped onion,soy sauce,hoison sauce,canola oil,hot sauce,Paprica powder,salt,Asian sesame seeds,bowls spoons and an Electric frying pan was used to cook the rice.

Then me and 2 other boys cooked the rice. We pored the oil in the pan then waited for it to heat up and added in the ingredients we added the vegetables then the added flavor once the flavoring was done we added the rice. One it was done we ate it all we shared some with our Teacher.

Tupaia Master Navigator

Today me and my class have been learning about Tupaia Master Navigator what we did was we read the journal then we write the Tupaia Mana in our own words

 Tupaia Mana 

Tupaia was born on Ra”iatea the second largest island in east polynesia around 1725 he was from a high ranking family and showed talent from a young age. Because of his gifts. Tupaia who was chosen to train with Arioi  an exclusive group because when Endeavors arrived in Batavia Tupaia was suffering badly from the effects. Of scurvy. Along with other sick sailors. He also built war ships and he was a worrier of his country
